A Note On My Writing:

My Substack, Updrafts, is where I explore embodiment, disability, ancestry, and the natural world through creative nonfiction and poetry. This writing reflects my personal and creative voice, which is distinct from how I work therapeutically with clients.

My practice is informed by feminist therapeutic traditions, which hold that selective self-disclosure can reduce power imbalances and deepen the therapeutic relationship. However, my writing is not clinical guidance, and I may explore ideas or share experiences there that I would not raise in session.

To maintain clear professional boundaries, I don't engage with comments from current or former clients on my publications. If something I've written resonates with you or raises questions, you're welcome to bring it into our work together.

If you are not yet a client and are reaching out because of my writing, I'm glad you found me here.

Forthcoming:

"Snakeskin" — poem selected for publication in Assembly: Liberatory Words for Revolutionary Times, ed. Taraneh Erfan. 9th House Press (November 2026).

A collection of liberatory writing by radical disabled, neurodivergent, queer, and Indigenous voices. 9th House Press is a worker co-op committed to trauma-informed, anti-capitalist publishing.
