Partnering With You for Healing:

I have over 25 years of experience navigating chronic pain, complex health issues, invisible disabilities, medical systems and institutions. My personal journey with illness has shaped my approach to therapy, giving me a unique perspective of both empathy and insight. I believe the body can be a source of pain, but also holds the potential for healing, resilience, and pleasure. I deeply understand the profound impact chronic illness can have on relationships, finances, energy, and the capacity to dream. I offer a compassionate, trauma-informed space where individuals facing chronic health challenges can explore their own capacity for healing, self-discovery, and well-being.

Chronic Pain and Invisible Disability Support:

Conditions like Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue, Long Covid, Migraine, hEDS, POTS, MCAS, and ADHD often present in ways that are not immediately visible to others. The unpredictability of symptoms, the instability of the body, and the constant fluctuations in how the body functions can be traumatic in and of themselves. Living with these conditions means not only managing the physical symptoms but also coping with the emotional and psychological toll of feeling misunderstood or invalidated by the medical system and others.

The unpredictability of chronic health struggles can create deep nervous system dysregulation—leading to stress, anxiety, and a sense of overwhelm. These conditions can lead to a disconnection from the body, making it difficult to trust it or feel safe within it. It’s not about implying that trauma causes these conditions, but rather recognizing how the ongoing instability and uncertainty of living with them can compound the emotional and psychological impacts, creating a need for healing that addresses both the body and mind.

In my practice, I focus on nervous system regulation through somatic approaches that help individuals reconnect with their bodies in a way that feels safe and empowering. By learning how to regulate the nervous system and develop somatic grounding, individuals can reclaim a sense of agency and resilience, allowing them to navigate their health challenges with more clarity and self-compassion.

Supporting the hEDS and Related Communities:

A Holistic Approach to Healing

Living with chronic conditions like hEDS, POTS, MCAS, chronic fatigue, and related health challenges means managing the unpredictable nature of the body. The body can often feel unreliable, leading to heightened stress, anxiety, and a sense of vulnerability. When symptoms fluctuate without warning, it can feel destabilizing, making it difficult to trust the body and its signals. This unpredictability can itself be a source of trauma, affecting how individuals relate to their body and navigate daily life.

Additionally, developmental trauma—early life experiences of instability or neglect—can interact with the challenges of living with chronic illness. This intersection can make it more difficult to regulate the nervous system, leading to increased sensitivity to stress and emotional overwhelm. My approach honors both the impact of early trauma and the ongoing challenges of chronic illness, offering a compassionate, trauma-informed space for healing.

Through somatic approaches, we can work together to address the emotional, physical, and psychological aspects of living with chronic illness. By focusing on nervous system regulation, grounding practices, and developing a sense of safety within the body, individuals can experience greater agency, resilience, and a deeper connection to their own capacity for healing and self-care.

Some of this stuff is really hard. You don’t have to do it alone.
